Hello everyone! I’m Voight Thornton, hailing from Alamogordo, New Mexico, where I grew up in an amazing household as one of six children in a military family. Born to Captain Robert and Dina Thornton, I’ve always embraced the values of hard work and dedication instilled by my upbringing.
Throughout my life, family bonds and athletic pursuits have been integral. Graduating from Alamogordo High School in 1996, I actively participated in football and track for the Tigers. Later, I pursued my passion for track at the University of New Mexico, graduating as a Mountain West Academic athlete with a Bachelor’s in Communication and a minor in Psychology in 2001. Continuing my educational journey, I earned an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix in 2003.
Relocating to Arizona in 2015 marked a new chapter for me, where I found my niche in the Fintech industry, initially at GoDaddy before transitioning to roles at Rocket Mortgage and Wells Fargo. Over time, my affinity for finance and mortgages grew, leading me to become a Debt Consultant. This role has provided me with a unique perspective on the challenges individuals face due to various life circumstances, motivating me to explore creative financing solutions in the realm of home buying.
My journey has always been fueled by ambitious dreams and a profound appreciation for family. Each member has contributed to shaping my character, inspiring me to give back and pay homage to the invaluable lessons they’ve imparted.
